The First Citizen is designed on AVI exacting design manuals. They have been approved by AVI’s erstwhile knowledge partners, MHA of UK.

The Retirement Community would be a Stilt + 13 storey structure with a total of 156 apartments with the following configuration

Facility Maintenance
All external maintenance and repairs will be cared for as part of the General Melia Maintenance Activity. This will be carried out professionally, protecting the property values for all residents. The costs will be included in the monthly service and maintenance charges, and these are reviewed annually with the residents. Security – The First Citizen is guarded both manually and electronically 24/7. The outdoor and common areas will be monitored using closed circuit television (CCTV) systems. Each house will have an emergency alarm system. This system would be installed at strategic points in the apartment, like bathrooms, bedrooms which would be manned by the main / central control station for any kind of emergencies. Every care has been taken to ensure that the residents will feel safe and secure within the complex.
Dining Service

Common Dining Services – Residents shall have an option to select dining package compromising all three or any one meal. In order to build community participation and interaction one (1) meal a day is recommended. All menus shall comprise of nutritionally balanced meals with select choices to choose from a limited Ala carte menu. Efforts shall be made to offer special meals on festivals and holidays.

Optional / Additional meals available at suitable notice and at extra cost.

Tray service if recommended by the Community Physician on nominal additional delivery charges.

Assisted Living Dining Services – Nutritionally well balanced meals would be served from the main kitchen based on the dietician’s inputs.

Well Being

Physiotherapy and Fitness Services – All the communities supported by AVI shall have a well equipped physiotherapy and a fitness center. Qualified physiotherapist along with assistants would be available to assist the occupant / residents with their physiotherapy and fitness needs part of the day. In Gurgaon it is in the ground floor of the main building.

 

Yoga Classes – Provisions shall be made to arrange yoga classes on specific days as per schedule.

Personal Care Service – Provision will made for providing special assistance like:

  • Assistance with personal Hygiene – bathing, showering, shaving, tooth-brushing, toileting, dressing etc.
  • Medication Control
  • Continence Management
  • Help with eating and drinking
  • Mobility assistance including using specialist equipment

These services will be provided by a care giver under the guidance of a nurse. These will be charged extra on per hour basis. These services would normally be given on the recommendation of the community physician.

Personal Support Services

  • Where required by an individual and on advance intimation help in personal service like Laundry/Ironing, Shopping, Handy person, minor cooking (to be discouraged),
  • Helping with reading and writing letters
  • Bill desk for payment of various utility bills
  • General House hold management
  • Facilitating contacts with family and friends
  • Escort to and from social events, GP / Hospital appointments etc
Social & Recreation

Hobby Clubs – Personnel would be available to teach hobbies like pottery, painting, etc. to the Residents as per schedule.

Group Outings – Group local outing to be organized as per schedule.

Movies – Appropriate numbers of screening of movies would be arranged at the Complex as per schedule.

Indoor Games – Indoor games and other old age friendly games would be arranged for the benefit of the residents as per schedule in the large club of the township.

Music Room – Residents can also enjoy watching Television in the lounges / designated sitting areas as per schedule.

Television / Cable Viewing – Residents can also enjoy watching Television in the lounges / designated sitting areas as per schedule.

Library, Magazines and Newspapers – Residents would be able to read various magazines and newspapers at the common gathering areas like lounge cum TV room and in the larger club of the Melia.

Transportation Services – Scheduled Transportation services, to and fro for designated places as per pre-determined schedule shall be provided on rotational basis.

Discourses and lectures – Arrangements would be made for regular Discourses and lectures which will be held in the common gathering rooms as per schedule Internet

Guest rooms / accommodation – As part of the larger club there will be guest rooms and would be made available on first come first basis based advance booking However the use of such facility shall be charged separately.

GD Goenka University, Sohna, Haryana – The GD Goenka University campus is set on 60 acres with the ancient and picturesque Aravalli hills for a backdrop. GD Goenka University is guided by the philosophy that new thinking in the areas of teaching, learning, research and training are pivotal to making students tomorrow’s leaders and giving them a world view.
